The easiest way is get a kit which will have all of the materials that you will need. Some kits will even have the tools that you will use. The usual set-up for photovoltaic includes solar cells, tabs to connect them, solders and flux to adhere the tabs and a soldering iron to melt the solder and hold it all together.

There are things that are important to know. Solar panels must be installed where there is maximum access to sunlight. The roof of homes is the most convenient and efficient location to set up solar panels. Determine the size and number of the panels that you need. Choose from solar panels that use monocrystalline, polycrystalline or amorphous silicon cells. Each has its own conversion efficiency and has different space requirements. Be careful in placing the solar panels. Consider using extra braces for added support.
