Gas prices have shot up the past year. As a result, some say, it’s the end of the big SUVs or the sport utility vehicle. It’s the time of the hybrid or electric cars. Electric cars trace their roots to solar energy. Solar energy harnesses the sun’s rays and converts it to energy using solar panels.
Solar energy shows the most promise amongst the alternative renewable energy sources at the moment. In the last 20 years alone it has gone a long way. During its inception solar panels were very expensive and hard to get. Nowadays, they’ve become very affordable. You can even find do it yourself solar panels. You can even find lots of appliances that use solar energy.
