After you have made your choice, your next problem is how to set up your hammock. Actually, you should have decided on the location before deciding on the type of hammock to buy. There are different ways you can set up your backyard hammock and it will all require tree trunks or posts. You can also use stands that should come with the hammock. Take a look at the available support for the hammock before making a final decision.
Maybe you have just the right sturdy looking trees that can hold your hammock in your backyard. How do you tie your hammock to the trees? Look for a ring on each end of the hammock and tie a length of rope to each ring. Loop the rope around the trunk several times and tie the end of the rope to the ring again. Two knots on the ring should be secure enough to keep the hammock in place. Take care to have slight sag; this will increase stability.
