I grew up in a big house. My family’s house had four bedrooms, a huge dining room and a bigger living room. We also had a large patio and a garden where we ran around in as kids. We spent several evenings entertaining friends in our patio where it was cool. We had patio hammocks where our drunk guests spent the night after a fun filled evening of good food, conversation, dancing, and booze.
When I got married, I told my husband I wanted to live in a house similar to the one I grew up in it didn’t have to be big. We didn’t need four bedrooms and a huge dining room, but I really wanted a patio. I wanted patio hammocks as well because I wanted to spend lazy Saturday afternoons there listening to music. We looked around our neighborhood and saw that there were a few houses with patios. We are now looking at how we can add to our income so we can afford to have a house of our own that will remind me of the house I grew up in.
