Who doesn’t love the beach? The sound of the waves in the early morning can be relaxing for those who are looking for peace and quiet. Yet, at the same time, the same waves can mean adventure for those seeking some adrenalin rush. The sand on one’s feet can make a person totally forget the fast-paced life that was left in the city. Finally, the feel of the sun on the skin is literally recharging.
Unfortunately, not all of us have the privilege of being on the beach when we want to. This is especially true during the cold winter months. But we can still bring the beach into our homes. Painting the bedroom blue can evoke a feeling of being on the water. A cotton hammock on the corner of the room also adds to the effect. Finally, playing a DVD of sounds of nature, like waves and chirping of birds, can bring it all together.
