Studies show that organically grown food has higher amounts of essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs to defend itself against cancer. Organic food also greatly minimizes a person’s intake of harmful chemicals in the body. This is because organic gardening does not use any pesticides and fertilizers.
Many organic gardeners say that this type of activity also helps rejuvenate the spirit. It is very relaxing to feel the sun on one’s back while you plant, weed, or water your plots. Organic gardening moreover gives that connection to the natural rhythm of the earth. And like other physical activities, organic gardening can help reduce risks of obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc.
