When to Start Planting

Putting up a vegetable garden is in the bucket list of people who are aware of its benefits. Tending a garden is good exercise. Whether you prefer blooming plants, culinary herbs, or fruit bearing bushes, you will have to get down on your knees to prepare the soil for planting. From then on, it will be a daily routine of watering, weeding and pruning. These are activities that are as good as working for hours in an exercise machine.
Starting vegetable gardens are especially beneficial. Not only do you get to exercise in a fun way, you also reap the rewards of food for your table. If you are new to gardening you can start with a small space and begin with a few easy to maintain plants. Before you do that, do some research to be sure you are starting at the right time. Research will also help you determine the right kinds of vegetables to plant in your locality.
