garden tools

We can do our part by farming in our own backyards. We call them gardens but they might as well be mini farms. We can plant vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs. It will be so much fun to pick our tomatoes, basil and rosemary from our gardens when we are in the mood for some pasta. Or we can dig up fresh ginger and pick chili leaves for some exotic Asian chicken dish.

Instead of tractors and tillers, we need a set of garden tools. A shovel will be useful in digging up the soil to plant shrubs or small trees. A spading fork is used for aerating the soil around the plants. There will also be small diggers. A pair of shears is useful in pruning the plants and for harvesting.
