A rug on the patio floor can add color and aesthetic effect. It can also be a protection against getting splinters from the wooden flooring. A patio rug is usually made of a different kind of material as rugs that are used indoors.
Outdoor rugs should be chosen for their durability. Since they will be exposed to the elements, the choice of material is important. You will not want to keep replacing your rug year in and year out. You also need to look at how easy it is to keep clean. Plastic rugs are the most ideal for outdoor locations but they are not as warm and comfortable as fabric rugs.
