Solar lighting

The use of solar energy has many benefits. Solar lighting alone can lower your energy costs and be friendly to the environment. Sunlight, the source of this energy is free and sustainable. You won’t feel guilty about depleting resources. Solar lights are also readily available, are easy to install and requires very little maintenance. So, what is keeping people from taking advantage of it?

The main reason for non use is the expense. While it will bring down monthly energy cost, initial cash outlay is still a bit unattainable for many. We can only hope that as technology improves, costs will come down and more people will be enticed to switch from coal powered energy to solar power. There is also the general conception that light powered by solar energy is not that stable. They are worried that it may just shut off just like that. Some education is in order here. People should be taught that energy is stored in batteries and that it cannot run out just because the sun is not in the mood to shine.
