Temperate countries like the United States have learned to embrace different cultures. This is also manifested in their home decoration. Tropical decor thus finds its way in many American homes. Hawaii, one U.S. state, is in fact located in the tropics. Therefore, it has become a good example for using tropical decor.

The coconut tree and most products derived from it has been one of the most popular symbols of the tropics. Island scenes, island women and men in their traditions are the subjects of paintings and carvings used in tropical decors. The sea, the ocean, aquatic animals are also mostly used in designs depicting tropical scenes. Using tropical decors add a refreshing impact on many homes. That is why it has become almost a regular for most Americans when it comes to decorating.
