Duck houses

If you live beside a lake or any small body of water, ducks make for ideal pets. Or if you happen to live anywhere within the migration area, setting up duck houses is a great idea. Some duck breeds often make frequent stopovers during migration. Stopping over a specific and recognized area becomes part of their migration pattern. So when they know that they have a duck house waiting for them in a specific area, they’re known to be regular visitors.

Duck houses are made from sturdier wood than birdhouses. They’re less fanciful and oftentimes spartan in design. Usually made with ramps, duck houses are commonly found in areas where there are small bodies of water such as marshes, lakes and swamps. Some duck houses are made to fit even the biggest duck in the flock. In addition, they can be constructed to either house one duck or a larger group.
