Birds’ eggs are usually laid in a nest and incubated by the parents. Most birds have an extended period of parental care after hatching. Habitat loss is the most common human threat to birds. Putting up different wooden bird house strategically will help ensure that birds have places to build their nests.

There are many kinds of birds and different cultures view various species of birds differently as well. Like in some parts of Africa, owls are associated with bad luck, witchcraft and death. In Europe, owls are regarded as wise animals. The colorful hoopoes were considered sacred in Ancient Egypt and symbols of virtue in Persia. Unfortunately in much of Europe, hoopoes were thought of as thieves and omen of war in Scandinavia.
