If you want to attract plenty of birds in your garden, go and shop for some birdhouses and start hanging them around your outdoor. But first you have to know the kind of birds that come to visit. You find out that chickadees love your garden. These are fine birds. They are songbirds and are more or less permanent residents. With them inhabiting your space you can be assured of happy chirping most of the time.

Chickadees prefer forestry locations. In suburban areas, they gravitate towards areas with scattered trees. Chickadee bird houses should be placed in habitats receiving 40-60% sunlight. The house itself should be mounted 5 to 15 feet high and spaced one per 10 acres. The entrance hole should be facing away from prevailing wind. When these conditions are met, you can expect to live with a bunch of chirping chickadees the rest of your life.
