stoneware birdhouse

I am a card carrying member of my local birdwatchers society. It is so sad that we are experiencing less and less sightings of birds in our area these days. That is because of the encroachment of people on supposedly protected areas. Trees have been torn down to make way for new structures such as houses, and even those pesky mini malls and convenience outlets.
My advocacy now is to provide homes for the displaced birds in our area. Since I couldn’t build them a nest, I got them the next best thing — birdhouses. I already have a total of nine, ranging from the wooden do-it-yourself type, to my most recent stoneware birdhouse. I scattered them all through my big backyard. I am happy to report that all houses are currently occupied, and I am planning to add some more. I encourage more people to put up birdhouses and plant trees to help take care of the birds in your area.
